My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buddy is a 10 year old Himalayan. He is considered a special needs as he gets urinary stones and urinary tract infections if he is not on the proper food.

When he was just a year old, he had to have an operation that actually made him look like a female in order to pass any stones if he got any, but he continued to get infections and stones not being on special foods.

Buddy is over weight and we are trying to get him a little trimmed down. He has lost about a pound since we had him but he needs to lose more. The doctor said that due to his weight, it creates and extra fold where his surgery was, years back, and that is what causes the infections. We also have to keep his hair short back in that area to help stop an infection from reoccurring.

Due to Buddy's personality, age and physical problems it makes him much harder to adopt. He is a bit quirky and he can get quite agitated when he is pet too long or doesn't want to be touched. He is not very happy when he gets groomed either. In his previous life with his family there were two small children that came into being after he was there for about 5 years. He didn't take too well to them. Between that and having urinary problems and infections who can blame him.

For this reason, we are asking for an "adult household only" and also a "proven vet history" due to the nature of his urinary problems.
