Richmond’s adopter will need to be aware of the needs that go along with owning a wrinkle dog like this. You will need to make sure the wrinkles and folds are cleaned daily, free of debris, build up and odor. He may also be a little more sensitive to the hot weather with all the wrinkles and slightly shorter nose, but also sensitive to the cold with such a short coat.
Did we just hear you AWWWWW from here?!?! Wait until you meet this handsome pup in person! Richmond is a very sweet and curious little guy, he is currently about 15lbs, short and stocky, we estimate he will be about 50lbs full grown. Richmond will be a mid size dog around knee height but more stout/wide then he is tall. He is doing very well with house training providing he is kept on a regular routine, he is also doing well with house training. He needs daily exercise and ongoing socializing and training to be the perfect addition to your family, Shar Pei’s can be aloof with strangers so tons of socializing with lots of new people and new situations is very important at Richmond’s age. Richmond is great with other dogs of all sizes though he’s a bit young for the dog parks yet, he is happy to socialize with other canines that belong to friends and family. He is good is cats and respectful children though he has not lived with very young kids. Richmond is eager to meet his new family and hopefully start puppy training classes so he can become a model canine citizen and bond with his new ‘pack’ members over the summer. This guy is sure to be a great addition to just about any breed knowledgeable family in a house with a fenced yard.
