My story

Hi there, my name is Sugar and my mommy, Cinnamon, and I were left outside of Alliance for Animals in a taped up box. We were very scared and weren't sure what was going to happen to us. Luckily one of AfA's employees found us before the unthinkable could happen. My mommy was lucky to get adopted and I have bonded with Tigger, so Tigger and I are being adopted as a pair. Right now we are in a foster home so that we aren't sitting in a cage. Please contact 617-268-7800 for more information about us.

We try very hard to find the perfect match for the cats and dogs in our care with the families who seek to adopt a new pet. ALL OF OUR ANIMALS ARE RESCUED FROM MASSACHUSETTS AND HOUSED IN MASSACHUSETTS. WE DO NOT "RESCUE" ANIMALS FROM OUT-OF-STATE- CATS AND DOGS DIE EVERY DAY IN MASSACHUSETTS. THEREFORE, WE SAVE AND ADOPT OUT ONLY LOCAL ANIMALS. You can visit our animals at any time and as often as you like, PRIOR to adopting. We are always in need of new temporary foster homes for dogs - every foster home means another dog saved. Our adoption process begins with a phone interview and after that we set up a time for potential adopters to come meet the cats or dogs that we think might be a good match.
