Here's what the humans have to say about me:
1 year, 34 lbs - Addison is a great dog. He is playful, listens well and love to snuggle. He sleeps on his bed at night but each morning he crawls up in my bed and wakes me by laying his head on my chest. If I move, I get kisses! He likes to put his nose close to my face and just look at me too. LOL Addison likes to hide under things alot. He was abused for sure b/c if you grab his collar for anything, he rolls over submissively and sometimes will squeal. I have been working with him, holding his collar and rubbing his belly. If you raise your voice at all, he retreats under the bed to hide. Addison loves to chew on toys and is great with the other dogs. He love to play with them but has not learned to play with me yet. He has been here since the beginning of March and has made alot of progress in that time. He needs a home with a tall fenced yard b/c he jumps my baby gate. He does not need crating but I do contain him in one room when I leave the house. He also needs a home without lots of kids running around swinging toys and yelling. He just needs a special someone that will allow him to lay on the couch with his head in your lap and get some personal time.
Addison was pulled from Clayton County Animal Control in his last minutes of life. That shelter kills 50-60 dogs a week and only 20% of those that go in get out. It is so sad. The volunteers loved him so he got a few extra days but when time is up down there, time is up!
All dogs are fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed/neutered and Heartworm negative unless otherwise noted. We require an adoption application, home visit and adoption fee of $175. You also get a two week trial period with all of our dogs. To apply, simply go to www.forgottenpaws.com.
Many of our dogs are in foster homes all over Atlanta, thus an application is required before an appt can me set to meet a dog.
