Wickford is just a puppy -- about 9-10 months old. He is a mix between adorable and awesome, if you want to know his genetic makeup :) He is a stunning, striking, gorgeous boy! This guy is a TEN in every sense of the word! Wow, what an amazing dog!

Wickford seems to like just about everyone and everything. He adores his foster dog siblings - a large female dog and a large male dog. And, of course, he loves people! He is also fostered with some critters -- guinea pigs and rabbits -- and although curious, he is in no way malicious and he isn't terribly persistent. He has met kitties too, and could probably live with a dog-savvy cat.

Wickford's foster mom absolutely raves about how great he is. In fact, everyone who meets this guy has fallen in love with him. He is just such a nice dude and he doesn't seem to have a speck of intolerance in his body. He just loves everyone enthusiastically. As you can see from his photo, Wickford has even met babies and been very gentle around them.

Wickford is a smart boy and already knows how to sit. He is easy to train: responsive and eager to learn. Because he is a puppy and still learning every day, we'd love to see his new family enroll him in a fun obedience class. He is a happy, bouncy, loving puppy. He has energy, but it is not obnoxious or in any way unmanageable. Like all puppies his age, he just needs regular exercise and some boundaries. His foster home gives him both of those things and he's an easy dog to live with!

Wickford really is a very good boy, particularly considering his age. He doesn't seem to have major chewing or destroying tendencies, even when left alone for several hours.

Wickford seems to be almost entirely potty trained, and he is crate trained. He may need a bit of fine-tuning, particularly in his new home, but that should come quickly with a watchful, diligent owner.

Wickford would be a great dog for an active family, with perhaps another dog for him to play with. We have a preference for families with a solid plan for obedience training their new dog. We also offer partial or full refunds of adoption fees for families who complete training classes!

Wickford is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $150. Please email us to request an application! Thank you!
