My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

12/1/12 - I'VE BEEN ADOPTED!

ADOPTION FEE: $250

Fostered in South Carolina

Age: 8 years

Weight: 6.5 lbs.

11/20/12 - Happy Howlidays!

I am so looking forward to this year’s holiday season. This year, Foster Mommy and Daddy told me that I was going to be on someone’s Christmas List! I can’t believe it! I have been such a good, obedient girl for a very long time and now it’s finally my turn.

No longer will my keepers take my puppies from me to sell for Christmas; leaving me battered and broken - only to be forgotten about and made to breed again…

I am getting a whole new lease on life and I am completely ready to go. Bags packed and all… I would love nothing more than to be part of your family.

Oh goodness, I gotta run… these pups are trying to decorate for the howlidays, and they are getting it all wrong!! See ya soon!!!

10/15/12 - I underwent a pretty extensive surgery on October 9, 2012.

My dogtor performed a bilateral total mastectomy and spay.
My incision site runs the entire length of my tummy (from between my back legs all the way up to the base of my neck).

My dogtor indicated after my surgery that I had tumors in 7 of my 10 mammary glands, in my armpit, above my vulva and in my uterus. I was pretty much riddled with tumors everywhere.

Remarkably though, all of my tumors were removed and came back cancer free!

Whew! I go back to the dogtor on Friday, October 19, 2012 to have my staples removed.

Once my staples are gone, I will be a brand new pup and ready to join your family!

Please consider letting me live the remainder of my long life in your safe and loving home.

9/18/12 - Hi there… I’m kinda bashful, so please excuse me… I was rescued from a long life of breeding as a puppy mill dog in Columbia, SC with my brother Hansel. (Well, we aren’t sure if we are related but we might as well be since we were rescued together.) Like my brother Hansel, I lived the majority of my life in a crate with no love and affection. Foster Mommy says I am a very sweet, bashful girl. I do like to wag my tail and go outside, but at times seem to be confused by all the positive interaction with my Foster Parents. I will crouch down when my Foster Parents pick me up because I am so used to being mishandled and hurt by humans. Foster Mommy keeps telling me that everything is going to be ok and that no one will ever hurt me again. I am getting used to affection and am warming up to the idea of TLC. I kept praying for a nice family to love me one day and now I know I am one step closer today.

I will be getting spayed and having all my teeth removed on September 18, 2012 so please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I am also suffering from mammary tumors, which the Dogtor is going to check out on September 14, 2012. I have ear mites, which I have medication to clear up right now.

I may have a tattoo in my ear that I am not proud to show, but it will always represent where I came from and where I won’t be going back. I am a survivor and with a family to love me, I know I will live the rest of my life in happiness… Until then, I will keep praying for you to find me. Waiting to come home…..
