My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Macaroni was originally bought at a flea market and when he became ill, was taken to a vet (NOT at Bay Animal Clinic). He was diagnosed, supposedly, with parvo and the owner claimed that they had spent x number of dollars on him and just didn't want to spend any more. He called the clinic to schedule a euthanasia, but instead, the receptionist talked to the rescuer (me) and I told her that I would take and treat the puppy. The owner signed the puppy over and he was treated for diarrhea. He is a fun, playful little guy who is about ready to be neutered. He is a little timid of strangers, but that is a typical chihuahua trait and is overcome pretty quickly. He will need work on housebreaking because he has been fostered with yorkies, who are NOT good role models in that department! With time and patience and a house with much fewer dogs, he should do fine. Smaller dogs do have smaller bladders, though, and need to be taken out more often, so please keep that in mind. At the present time, Macaroni is staying at Bay Animal Clinic so feel free to stop by and meet him and his friends. You can also request photos and I'll be happy to email them to you. "Like" Bay Animal Clinic's Facebook page to see Macaroni in his Santa suit at the Baldwin County Humane Society's Christmas by the Bay.
