My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPTION PENDING

- Breaking News -

The SCARS girls were shocked to learn that Cindy, who loves her food, is actually eating for 4! That is right, Cindy is pregnant! Due to all the trauma that Cindy has endured, we will have to work very closely with Cindy's vet to help keep mom and babies strong. We will be monitoring her closely and will keep you informed of her progress.

Cindy had 6 puppies this morning and we have the first baby photos ready to show you!

One of Cindy's puppies fell ill last night. Although SCARS and our vets did everything that they could to save him, sadly he did not make it. We are, understandably, all heartbroken

Hi my name was Chipmunk, but the SCARS girls didn't think that I needed to be reminded of my injury any longer. My newest best friends, the children in my new foster family, named me Cindy. I sure like that name better!

A very kind woman found me on the side of the road. When she stopped, I was so scared I ran into the culvert to hide and cry. But, I knew that I would not survive for much longer if I didn’t trust someone, so she soon coaxed me out! I have been living in horrific circumstance for at least the past month. My face is extremely swollen from infection and pressure to the point that the SCARS girls or the vet can not tell what breed I am and I can not even blink my eyes! When the lady put me in her car, she saw that I leaked puss from every facial orifice.

Someone tied a bungee cord around my head so tightly, that it caused all of this infection.

Please be forewarned, they are very disturbing!

However, the happy news is that the prognosis is good. I have been working really hard to get my weight back to normal (I LOVE food) and my wounds are healing. The vets have said that my face may never fully return to normal but I will be perfectly healthy. SCARS says it does not matter because I am such a beautiful dog through and through and everyone here agrees, I'm absolutely perfect!!
