My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We have a number of older, disabled pekin ducks who are looking for a loving home, without other animals who will chase them (e.g. dogs - dogs are fine as long as they have been trained not to chase ducks). These ducks don't go far - they are just looking for a warm, safe place at night and a sunny outdoor place close by for daytime (with shelter for windy, rainy, cold days) and a small pool. Many of these ducks have arthritis, or are lame in one leg, so, just like with humans, they need a warm place when the weather is bad. If you have older ducks or geese who are looking for friends, our ducks will make great companions. Ducks and geese are very social birds and they like to be around other birds.
If you are interested, please complete our adoption application at our website www.cwrescue.org. You will need to send photos of your predator proof nighttime housing and the area where your new ducks will stay during the day (including water source). There is an adoption fee required (posted on our website) and you must come to Indian Trail, NC to pick up your new ducks, once your application is approved. We do NOT EVER ship animals to their new homes.
