My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***I AM BEING FOSTERED IN DALLAS, TX*** If you live in Oklahoma and you are interested in me - you are welcome to apply :-)

Little Maggie One-eye, or Maggie to her family and friends, is a beautiful little 6 pounder of approximately 5-7 years of age. She's a special girl who's had a bit of a rough time of life so far, but, since she's come into CRT, things are looking way up. When CRT heard about Maggie, she was sitting in the pound emaciated and crawling with fleas, with a luxating patella, a bad case of tape worms, and severe trauma to one of her eyes that had caused massive infection that attacked her poor little body. She had been bred over and over, and was so used to living in horrible conditions that she would go to the bathroom right where she slept and stay in it all night. We removed the eye, spayed her, fixed her knee, and gave her lots of good food and attention, and now she's a new dog!
Today, Maggie is a healthy, happy, playful little girl who loves nothing better than attention from her favorite people. She enjoys playing and cuddling with her foster brothers and sister, and has lots of kisses for everybody. Despite having one eye, she is still gorgeous with her silky black coat, beautiful face, and wonderful personality. Multiple people have said she has the softest coat they have ever felt on a dog, almost like she's a little mink.
Maggie has not had an accident inside in a while, but she cannot be left unattended in the house and must be taken out regularly. She has funny little quirks that are sure to make you laugh, like the way her front legs pop up and down like she's on a spring when she's excited, and the way she likes to steal kisses when you least expect it. Maggie is looking for an adult only home with someone who can spend a lot of time with her or who has another small, friendly dog to be her buddy while her people are away. She's not looking for someone to feel sorry for her, but for someone who will be a good leader that she can trust and give all her love to.
