My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Egypt and Vasya are both four years old, and they were among the first cats that CARA as an organization adopted out. Originally they were kittens named Sterling and Sunspot. They were happy in their adoptive home, but that person had to move out of the country. So these two boys are looking again for their forever homes.

Though they are adults now, they still have some kitten left inside. Vasya wakes us up every morning by hopping up onto the bed and giving us kisses with his nose, hoping for pettings; Egypt regularly joins him there. They're very friendly, although Vasya is sometimes skittish around people he hasn't gotten to know yet. They like nothing better than being petted, and will sometimes walk up and, no matter what anyone else is doing, hop up on your lap and insist on being petted - although the happy faces that they make are well worth interrupting whatever's going on. If you're sitting on the couch, they become lap cats. Of course with Egypt at 17 pounds and Vasya at 13, they kind of overflow on both sides. They're very loving, and are always there to cheer you up if you're sad or tired.

We're still unsure about whether they need to be adopted together - they've been together forever, and are certainly very good friends, but they don't seem to have the same bond as the last pair we had. They do groom each other and wrestle occasionally, and they're generally found in the same room, but they don't necessarily seem to depend on each other.

To meet these sweet boys, please email us, come to a show, fill out an application!
