About Willy:

Willy comes from Taiwan and is still waiting there until a chance for a forever home opens up for him in the Bay Area. He was hit by a truck and sent to the animal hospital in June. He had to undergo a surgery on his hip bone immediately but the cost was high. The owner promised to pay for all the costs the next day but he never showed up. He left a false address and an unreachable contact number. The vet had no other choice but to keep Willy for his recovery. Willy’s hind left leg is limping and it may take one or two months to be back to normal. Even though Willy is walking with one limping leg, he can walk, run and jump like a normal dog. He is very intelligent and has good manners.

All the staff at the animal hospital in Taiwan love him for his sweet personality.
Poor Willy didn’t know he was abandoned by his owner. He is a very smart dog. Whenever there is a visitor, his eyes are full of hope, expecting his owner. When he knows that it’s not his owner, disappointment appears in his face. After failing to contact Willy’s owner and realizing that Willy's chances at finding a good home in Taiwan were practically non-existent, the vet turned him over to the Animal Rescue Team in Taiwan to assist in an overseas adoption. Willy’s sweet personality made it hard for the vet to send the dog to the city pound. Willy is a dog who deserves a loving owner to take care of him. Anyone who welcomes this dog into their life will never feel regret as long as Willy is there to share it with them.

If you are interested in adopting Willy, please email your completed Adoption Application. Willy is still in Taiwan and will be flown, expenses paid, to SFO when a home has been found for him. We do request a $200 tax-deductible donation to help cover a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A homecheck will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them.

For an additional $50 tax-deductible donation, you will receive as a thank-you gift a doggie starter package. This includes a dog bed, a 5-lb bag of Canidae kibble, 2 ceramic bowls, leash, collar, toothbrush, toothpaste, kong, hypoallergenic shampoo, rope toy, stuffed animal, and bully stick treats--almost everything you need to get off on the right start, at a fraction of the price you would pay at a pet store, and the proceeds benefit our rescued dogs.
