My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Domino is an approximately 2 year old Border Collie Mix. He is current on vaccines, heart worm negative and will be neutered the week of Feb. 11th. He is very smart and loving and in need of a new home soon. We ask if you have small children or another dog(s) to please bring them with you to meet Domino. City of Lagrange Animal Shelter hours and location are 10 to 5 Mon-Fri and 10 to 2 on Sat.. 1390 Orchard Hill Rd. You can contact the Humane Society Office, which is located in the shelter, by visiting or calling Mon- Fri 11 to 3 , 706-298-3608.

Pre-adoption questionnaire
Please remember that adopting an animal is a SERIOUS commitment. Animals may take several weeks or months to settle into their new environment. They cost money and require lots of attention and love. Please, seriously consider your decision to adopt. Sadly, too many animals are adopted and returned simply because folks didn't think adoption through enough. We highly suggest that you research what is best for you and your family so the adoption experience is a positive and lasting one for you and the animal you adopt.

I understand I must be 18 years of age and will provide the information requested before I agree to adopt an animal from the LaGrange Troup County Humane Society. I understand that an adoption contract will be filled out and signed, clearly stating that the Humane Society has the right to investigate the home and will remove the animal if it is not receiving adequate care; if it is being endangered by lack of veterinary care; if there is a violation of the adoption agreement or if there has been a failure to observe the anti-cruelty laws.

Do you rent or own your home?

Is there a fenced in yard?

If no, how will you house and exercise the dog?

If you rent, are you allowed to have a pet?

Is there a restriction on what type or weight of pet allowed?

If yes, what are the restrictions?

Do you have children?

If so, what are their ages?

Have you ever surrendered a pet?

If yes, when and why?

Do you own another pet now?

If so what type and age are they?

The Humane Society asks that if you have children or other pets (dogs) that you bring them to meet the animal you are interested in adopting before making that adoption.
