Ladybug is ready for Adoption!!!!
WARNING Ladybugs story will break your heart! This sweet beautiful girl is lucky to be alive! God must have been watching over her. Some cruel human being slit her throat and threw her over a hillside like garbage. Luckily somebody saw this person toss "something" over a hill and went to investigate they thought it was trash being thrown over the hill...thank god they did because Lady would have bled to death. An Animal Control Officer rushed her to the vet and they stitched her neck up. She was so close to death, whom ever did this to her just missed her jugular vein. We have NO idea how someone could do this to this sweet girl and she still has a smile on her face, wags her nubby tail, and licks you in the face any chance she can get! She is a fawn dobe and is cropped and docked. We estimate her age to be between 5-7 years but this is a good guess. She came to DRI from a shelter in eastern Pa. She saw our vet and did wonderful. He first removed half of her stitches then the rest came out a week later to make sure it was healed thoroughly. Her neck is all healed now she just has a scar. There were approximatly 50 stitches in her neck. She will be spayed and UTD on shots prior to placement. Lady will more than likely need to go to a home where she is the only dog, she doesnt seem too fond of other dogs. Cats are unknown. But she LOVES all people. We had her at several outtings recently and she kissed everyone that she met...she is very forgiving of what happened to her and still loves people and being right near her person. This sweet girl has stole our hearts and only the best homes should apply for her that will love her endlessly for the rest of her life like she so much deserves...Do you have a special place in your heart and home for this sweet girl?
