My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fanny Mae was picked up as a stray so we don't know exactly what her past was; however, we can tell that she was used for breeding. Upon initial exam it was determined that she needed immediate dental surgery and although she lost 14 teeth she recovered very quickly and is eating much more like a true hound these days. Her age is estimated at 5, and her weight at 40#. It was appearant that she had not had much experience in a home environment. She is now very comfortable in the house and almost completely house trained. Fanny Mae has already learned how to navigate stairs successfully (we're pretty sure she had never seen them before either). She loves to grab toys when the other canines in her foster home are done with them and she has now mastered what it means to actually "play" with the toys and the other canines. She is good with cats, children and is even comfortable with strangers; however, Fanny Mae is still a little "skittish" with sudden movements and loud noises. She is an extremely loving little houndie looking for a new furever home to protect her and teach her what it means to be a true "pampered pooch"!
