My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a courtesy cross-post for OAR's shelter kitten.

Although named after the planet, Venus (the kitten) is more like Pluto, the dog, not the planet. She comes when called (not to "Venus" but high pitched "Kittttteeeeee".) She likes to play fetch. She will cuddle up on your lap. She is very socialable and has all the great qualities for which Manx are reputed. She is not a wall-flower, but a curious, playful, investigative kitten (DOB around mid Feb 2013) who finds most interactive play with humans (toy wands, laser chasing,) irresistible. She came from an owner who did not fix her cat. As soon as she was weaned, she went into fostercare with her brother. The mother and father cats are both healthy, good tempered and now fixed.

She is a "stumpy", actually has a little nub of a tail. She has always used the litterbox well and does not appear to have any of the nerve damage issues that Manx sometimes have that would affect her bathroom habits (although she could use a lesson is actually covering up what's she leaving behind versus scratching at the side of the box for several minutes.)

Venus is fully vetted and by that, meaning THE WORKS: microchipped, vaccinated on her series of FVRCP, combo test negative, vaccinated against rabies, fully dewormed, and socialized in a home with other cats, her sibling tailed brother Saturn and one dog.

Her adoption fee is $75 and a two-for-one promotion is available if you would wish to adopt her brother (a DLH brown and white tabby with a tail) or another OAR cat or kitten.

Interest adopters must fill out an online application which can be found at the OAR website.
