My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hold on to your hearts Chihuahua Lovers! You have
never seen a girl as cute and sweet as me! My name is Sophie and as you can tell, I’m very modest :-) I can’t help it though, because all my foster mom and dad ever tell me is that I’m just about the most adorable girl ever.

I’m a year old and I’m a wee little thing, tipping the scales at only 5 pounds. My coat is a shiny and
lustrous black thanks to all the great food I’ve been eating – my foster parents think I’m still a bit too
skinny, so I’m really enjoying my extra large meals!

I don’t like to think too much about my past, but I was a stray before CRT came to my rescue. Can you
imagine being so itty bitty and all alone out in the scary world? I’m so glad to be in foster care, but I
think I’m ready for my forever home. I’m looking for a home that’s loaded with love, belly rubs and cheese. I do love cheese – and peanut butter too – I think sometimes my foster parents hide medicine in my favorite foods – but that’s ok with me!

I’m still pretty shy, but once I give you a kiss, you know I trust you and I’m ready to be your snuggle bug. Since I’m so delicate and small, I would like an adult home or a home with older, respectful children.

I’m really good about going potty outdoors – except if it’s raining – then you have to be firm and more
stubborn than me and make me go outside and get my pretty coat wet. I’ll forgive you, but I will pout
just so you know how much I hate the rain.

I get along well with my doggy foster brother, but I’m pretty scared of the big orange cat that lives in my foster home – so I would probably do best in a home without feline companions. I try to look scary to keep the cat away – but gosh, I’m so darn cute it’s hard to pull it off.

I just started going to doggy daycare – and I think
that’s just the greatest! I get to play all day with
little dogs like me! I also get to meet a lot of nice
people, which is helping me overcome my shyness.

If you have gobs of love to lavish on me, I sure would
like to meet you. Hopefully we’ll make a perfect match
and live happily ever after.
