My story

Hi, my name is Pokey. I'm a young boy - only about 2 -3 years old they say. When my family moved, they threw me outside in the middle of a harsh, cold winter like I was a piece of garbage. I'll never understand how they could do that to me because I'm such a lovable, good boy with a HUGE personality, not to mention that fact that I'm pretty cute. I have such purr-fect "tuxedo" markings and beautiful green eyes. I'm a friendly, sociable and affectionate little fella. I love to cuddle and enjoy a good massage and especially like to roll over on my back so you can pet my belly!!!
When I was thrown outside, I was frightened and alone and it just wasn't "home" for me. Home is inside a warm, comfortable house with food and water - and most importantly, with a loving person or family that will always care for me. Despite what happened to me, it hasn't stopped me from being a loving cat. I have a lot of love to give and need someone that will LOVE ME IN RETURN......FOREVER.
Oh, if you're wondering where the name Pokey came from, well, I'm not pokey at all....I'm a very spry little guy. The lady that rescued me is a fan of the internet feline star "Grumpy Cat". Grumpy Cat has a buddy named Pokey who resembles me a little (but I think I'm much cuter), so that's where my name came from. But when you adopt me and make me part of your family, you can call me anything you want!! By the way, do you like my picture?
