My story

Just look at this face and tell me your heart doesn't melt- Born at our shelter, with 9 siblings, Prince is just the sweetest boy. Prince was the little guy of the group so he quickly became the favorite of the shelter staff. He is very affectionate once he warms up to you and is very smart. He is a good boy who loves to play with other dogs and toys, and baby pool water. His favorite thing to do is give you hugs and try to lay across your lap while gazing into your eyes. He is a big love bug that would like nothing better than to have someone he can trust and be his best friend. He is about 60 lbs, has long legs and a great smile, though he is not fond of men he has potential. Come visit this sweet boy and you will melt. We also call him our little Romeo.

More about this rescue

Our History: Our organization was established in May of 2000 as a No-kill, 501 (c) (3) non-profit shelter. At that time animals were fostered and adopted out by word of mouth out of a donated space at a local veterinary clinic, staffed completely by volunteers. We outgrew that space quickly and moved into our own location in 2002 becoming a key resource in the community. We are now located on IH-10 West in Fair Oaks Ranch, near Boerne, housing only dogs. We have made great improvements through the years and hope to increase the number of animals rescued, increase adoptions, fundraising events, and reach more communities. We provide a temporary shelter, care and rehabilitation to homeless and unwanted dogs until responsible, loving homes can be found. As a no-kill shelter, we want to help reduce the number of animals euthanized each year by educating the public on the importance of proper pet care, animal behavior and overpopulation prevention. All of our dogs are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before leaving our facility. We are "Saving lives others have toss away".
