My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mikey is a neutered Bichon mix. He is @ 11 years old, but you would never know it by his energy level and good health. Mikey has come a long way since being in our home, but he still needs a lot of patience and understanding. He bonds quickly with the women of the house and is the most loyal, protective, and attentive dog I have ever had. He is very smart and playful. He does enjoy continuous attention, but he gives so much back that he is easy to love. Mikey loves: to go one walks to sit and be petted or scratched for hours to be right by your side to please Mikey has learned:: to trust children and be gentle with them. to accept men and boys in the house. Mikey used to react aggressively, sometimes nipping or biting strangers. He warms up to a gentle approach. to be better at the groomer's. He goes about every 2 months, and even though he doesn't like to go, he prances around like a puppy the rest of the day. Mikey is not good for an apartment or condo situation since he is used to an indoor/outdoor home with a yard. Adoption includes a free wellness visit at Westlake Village Animal Hospital with our preferred veterinarian. Our dogs are spayed/neutered and have their shots up to date before they are adopted. Please be aware that our adoption fees go towards, not only these expenses, but shelter fees charged to rescue them from euthanizing, food as well as needed medicine.
