My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Birthdate: 8/17/13
Gender: Male, neutered

There are plenty of cute puppies available for adoption, but there's something about a warm little purring ball of kitten in your arms that melts your heart on a chilly day.

And you can't get much cuter..... happier...... or cuddlier than Roman.

He might be small, but Roman is something of a legend at New Lease on Life. When he first arrived at only a day old, still sporting his umbillical cord, he had very little chance of survival. He had been found next to a trash can, likely dropped by his mother as she moved her newborn kittens to safety.

But luck was on his side when he not only found his way to New Lease on Life, but he got a simply incredible foster mom who patiently bottle fed him and taught him how to be a kitten...... well, sort of.

According to Roman, he's not a kitten. He's a dog. He's really hoping his new family likes the name "Roman" because he not only knows his name, but he comes running when he hears it just like a puppy.

Today is his 9 week birthday, and he thinks it's going to be a happy day. All his life, his foster mom has told him about the day he would find a new family of his very own..... and he's hoping this is that day.

Please call 330-397-8270 if you would like to make an appt to meet Roman at the shelter. He gets along great with other cats, dogs and kids, and he would love to be a part of your family.
