My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Novie is almost a 6 month old black Lab mix. He was an owner surrender because his family was evicted from their apartment and could not bring him with them. We renamed him Novie to give him a new beginning. His name is inspired by the month of November, since that's when we rescued him. As you can see from his photo, he was missing his hair on half of his body. This is from flea dermatitis. Before we accepted him into the rescue, we treated him with Capstar because he was infested with fleas. He developed an allergy to the fleas, and because of that his fur started to thin out from itching so much. In just 2 weeks of having Novie, his hair is almost all back!

Novie is a very friendly, happy-go-lucky boy. He loves other dogs, cats, and people. He'd be good with kids, but he is still working on not jumping up on people, so he may knock down little kids by accident. He's such a friendly guy that he can't control his licker and is always giving out free kisses! His favorite toys are tennis balls and he loves treats! He absolutely LOVES peanut butter, too! He has a very goofy, clumsy personality. He currently knows "sit," "down," and "paw". We will be teaching him other tricks, too.
