Baby Guinea Pigs are on their way and will need homes shortly after Christmas. Many colors available in singles or same-sex pairs. Apply now. Some Adults avaialable now. The American Pediatric Association says that GP's are good pets for children aged 7 years and up who have a PARENT willing to do daily feeding and cleaning every day for up to seven years. GP's require a plastic bottom (no metel grid) cage at least 18 inches wide x 35 inches long - larger for pairs (home made is best), paper or fleece bedding (no wood shavings - they are TOXIC) a large amount of timothy hay and water 24x7,1/4 cup each vitamin C enriched Timothy based pellets daily along with a few leafy greens, chew toys, and social interaction daily. They require periodic nail trims and must be kept indoors in temps of 65F - 80F Not good for peopel with spring "hay fever" allergies due to hay containgi pollen as the main food source.
