My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet senior girl lived out her life neglected and without medical care, then was thrown like trash in her elderly frail condition by heartless owners into a kill shelter. It makes me sick to think someone could have owned such an angel and never fed her or given her the love and care she deserved. She came to us pretty frail and skinny, However she is responding wonderfully in loving foster home with other pets (dogs and cats), she is great with humans of all kinds and ages.

Sadie is the most loving sweet & loyal girl in the universe...she follows foster mom, kids and foster fur siblings around everywhere, loves car rides, walks and has quickly learned house routine, she is well mannered, sleeps a lot, she has begun to show some happy boxer butt wiggling wags and a bit of run/play outside now...she is great on leash, no pulling. Sadie will be given vet exam and vet care prior to adoption (spay, shots, medical care/ treatment as appropriate for her age)...

This girl deserves to be treated like royalty, she is a precious angel, she bears no grudges over how she was neglected in past = a real love-bug. To adopt Sadie or any of our rescued pets we require application, references, home check/interview, and do not adopt first come first serve. dogs are placed as we feel will make best forever home for dogs needs. Our rescue doesn't have a building, our dogs are not in a kennel, they live like family members with loving foster families until adopted. Because we are all volunteer, and have so many 'jobs' and little time, and to not confuse the dogs, Introductions to our available dogs will always take place only after we have received application and confirmed you qualify to adopt, and all meet and greets are done during daylight at public place.

Please note -Applying does not guarantee adopting. Also, On occasion an application is approved but because we got so many applying for a few dogs at same time, and are so busy getting dogs off death row and to safety with our vet for urgently needed care and transporting them to approved foster homes (that we also have to process applications on and train) that by the time your application and references are checked the dog you requested is reserved/pending adoption finalization with another family or person. In this case we would suggest other dogs in our rescue who we feel would make a good fit for you and your family. We ask lots of questions, not because we are nosy but Because these dogs have been through so much and we want to do all we can to protect these rescued angels who have come into our care. Thank you for wanting to adopt a death row dog or cat rather then shop.
