Wherever you're going, that's where she wants to be! She is very gentle and affectionate, but does need a home where her boundaries are understood, so older children would be preferred. She is up to date on all vaccines and is heartworm negative! Adoption fee is $65

Hello folks! Thank you for stopping by my website. My name is Lori, and I am a 4-year-old, female red, Shiba Inu female who is looking for her forever home and family of hoomans. I am a purebred and weigh about 25 lbs. If you look at my photographs, you will see that I look something like a fox. For those of you who are not familiar with us, my breed comes from Japan, with my ancestors arriving there at least 2300 years ago. We were raised by the Japanese to be medium sized hunting dogs, with a great personality and bold spirit. They think so much of us that in 1936, we were officially designated a National Natural Monument of Japan. I will admit that when I first arrived here, I was somewhat bashful.. I have always been a little reserved with people at first. I always like to know how deep the water is before I jump in. The folks here tell me that that’s the reason I tend to get overlooked by folks at adoption time. However,. once I get to know you, I’m just a big cuddle bug. When I’m really glad to see you, I go into my spinning routine, where I spin until you sit down by me. I am also well-mannered and very neat in my personal appearance, as well as my own little spot here at Golden Paws Rescue. I really think I’m one of the favorites of the folks here I love hoomans, and other dogs as well. So, what do you say? I’ve had all my shots, I have been spayed, and I’m ready for my furever home and family of hoomans. Fill out an application and come on down for a visit. Now, don’t be surprised if when you first get here, I’m a little shy. Like I said, I need to be with you for a few minutes and see what makes you tick before I warm up... After all, you’re coming down to see what makes me tick too, right? After that, we can pack my stuff up and head out to our new home together. I hope to see you here soon.
