Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to JFK/EWR💟 Meet Hyunmi💕 (It means brown rice in Korean) 💙 Update Account: @adogs_hyunme 1⃣ Health Status • Neutered: Yes • Others:  • Microchipped  • Heartworm negative 2⃣ Rescue Story Hyunmi was rescued from the Gimje shelter where he had been staying with his sibling #ADogsGiri. Since they were still very young and the shelter environment posed a high risk of infectious disease, they were both rescued before spending their entire puppyhood there. 3⃣ Personality & Behavior • With People: Hyunmi likes people but is a bit shy around strangers at first. He may bark when approached, but calms down when corrected. With familiar people, he loves to follow them around and cuddle—he wags his tail, relaxes in their lap, and even shows his belly for pets! • With Dogs: He’s timid around unfamiliar dogs, but he plays joyfully and wrestles with familiar ones, especially his current foster sibling. He’s been showing increasing dependence on his foster sibling, so it’s being closely monitored. • With Cats: Shows little to no interest, even when encountering them directly. • Separation Anxiety: He does well alone and also enjoys playing when accompanied by other dogs. If left with an unfamiliar person, he may be shy but warms up with treats and relaxes. • Potty Training: Mostly prefers outdoor potty. When indoors, he tends to use the bathroom area over pee pads. • Grooming & Handling: He tries to run away before baths but stays still once it begins. He vocalizes during nail trimming to express discomfort, but it’s manageable. • Walking & Leash Training: He avoids being leashed at first, but once the leash is on, he walks just fine. If someone other than his foster tries to leash him, he gets scared. When startled by cars or motorcycles during walks, he freezes and needs to be carried to a calmer area before resuming. • Car Rides: Has done well on short trips and usually rests calmly. 4⃣ Special Notes • Knows “Sit,” “Lie down,” “Wait,” and “Turn”! • He’s sensitive and can yelp when startled or when rough play gets overwhelming. Loud, sudden sounds tend to scare him. • He’s more comfortable eating when others aren’t around—currently fed separately to help him feel secure.

Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to NY&NJ💟 Meet White🧡 White spent time in Juksan dog meat farm, where he witnessed his fellow dogs being slaughtered right before his eyes. He lived in constant fear, but when Adogs shut down the farm, he was finally given a second chance at life. • With People: Is a bit shy at first, but with time, begins to follow people around curiously. Will accept treats from hands and sniff familiar people. Is not yet fully comfortable with being touched and tends to be nervous while hands are approaching. Accepts petting nicely when it starts. • With Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs and does not cause issues. Is not particularly interested in approaching new dogs first. Seems to prefer smaller-sized dogs and plays well with familiar companions. • Separation Anxiety: Since he is currently living in a group setting at the center, it is unclear how he will react to being alone in a home environment. • Potty Training: Is accustomed to outdoor potty habits at the cenlter. • Walking & Leash Training: Enjoys going for walks. Has much curiosity and tends to be persistent and show his feelings when he want to go in a certain direction. Rarely pullsbonbthe leash. • Car Rides: Experiences mild motion sickness, often drooling slightly and shifting around during travel.

Story
**He is currently in Seattle** Mukgoo is about 5 years old. He was found near an army base in Korea and immigrated to America around the age of 1 on President’s Day of 2020. He is an incredibly smart and lovable dog. He is kind and loves people (loves dogs and people). He will eat almost anything (except veggies). He can be a jumper when he gets very excited. He prefers households with another dog and a big yard to run around in but it’s not a non-negotiable. He has always adjusted well to whatever the circumstance. Overall, he’s a good dog and he’s got a lot of love to give. I’m having to give him up due to being unable to raise him in my current life stage. In no way, this is due to any bad behaviors or anything. He’s a really kind-hearted and sweet dog. Likes - He loves playing fetch (quickest way to his heart), rolling in the grass, puppycinos, ice cream, snow, people, dogs - Historically has liked lamb, fish skin, salmon, bully sticks, dental sticks, sweet potato, etc. In general, he loves to eat~ - Very social and prefers to greet other dogs and people, including dog parks, doggy day cares Dislikes - He dislikes bath but who does - He doesn’t like being alone but can manage a few hours if needed - No longer is a fan of veggies - Fireworks and big noises Things to Watch out for - Throwing up: If you let him freely eat grass, he’ll throw up. When he feels stressed, he can react by throwing up. - He can be independent when he is fixated on things. Just be patient with him and he will come back to focus on you. He is a people pleaser. - He rarely barks. He may bark when other dogs bark but even that is rare. He is more of a whiner. If he needs to let you know something, he will whine. - Not a counter surfer but can be if you let him Commands He knows his basic commands (sit, down, hand, etc.) and is open to learning new ones as well. Potty He is used to peeing and pooing outside. Once you create a regular spot and time for him, it’s clockwork. Otherwise, just be aware when he whines that it may be time to go. - At a high level, he knows “go potty” and “go poo” as a sign to go to the bathroom - He will rarely go pee or poo inside the home. Once in a million tries, a thing like that can happen during the night but he’s really sorry when he does. Leash He has never been fully off-leash, only in areas that condone it (home, backyard, dog park, etc.). He is not one to go off-leash and run away. He’ll run around and try to have you play with him. Keep him on a short leash if you need to focus on walking as he can veer away due to his interest in sniffing. Once on a short leash, he’ll understand and walk along. However, give him time to sniff as he is very curious with smells. Sleep He can sleep together or on his own if you’re in a different room or floor. He is also loves to cuddle up as well. When there’s fireworks, it’s recommended you sleep where he sees you because he’s afraid of the loud sounds. Food He is on one meal a day. If you give him two meals a day, he may not eat the first meal. Snacks though he loves. He knows how to sit and wait for food. He is currently on Costco’s salmon and sweet potato meal. * With People: Is a sociable dog who likes people so much. Loves greeting and being petted so much, wagging his tail. * With Dogs: Gets along very well with any dog. Has good social skills with dogs, so he becomes popular when playing with canine friends at the dog park. * Separation Anxiety: Sometimes barks along only when other dogs bark, but the exact details are not known yet. May need training to adapt again when the environment changes. * Potty Training: Prefers pottying outdoors rather than indoors. * Hygiene: Is a little afraid of water. Accepts baths nicely when being handled carefully. * Walks: Is an excellent walker and matches his pace with his handler. Loves going for walks and enjoys smelling while walking. 💌Special Notes💌 * Is so smart that he has mastered "sit down," "wait," and "paw." * Has a bright personality and runs when he's excited and expresses a lot of affection. * Is a bit scared of sudden loud noises.

Story
Champ is a handsome one-year-old, 48 lb. Basenji mix with gentle brown eyes, a soft coat, and an irresistible smile. Abandoned by his previous family in June while they moved, Champ spent an hour at the shelter door, crying for their return. The pain of that abandonment hit him hard, leaving him terrified and struggling. As he grappled with depression and kennel reactivity, we knew we had to save him and give Champ a fresh start. That’s when he took a life-changing freedom flight from North Carolina to Connecticut, ready to find his true furever family. Though Champ has faced hardships, his spirit shines brightly. With time, patience, and love, he has transformed into a lovable cuddle buddy who adores making friends, both two and four-legged. He previously lived with children as well so he’s an ideal family dog! Champ’s playful personality and charming demeanor make him a social butterfly, always eager to join in on the fun. He absolutely loves toys and is learning to fetch, often inviting you to play by dropping a toy in your lap. As a young pup who never had the benefit of structure or training, Champ is looking for someone to help him learn the basics. He’s very smart, food motivated, housetrained, and is working hard on leash manners. Champ thrives in the company of other dogs so he'd prefer to go to a home with a furry sibling and must have a fenced yard where he can run off his energy. If you’re ready to give Champ the love he deserves, you’ll gain a loyal companion who will fill your life with joy and adventure. His adoption fee is $400 and Champ is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered. If you are interested in this lovely lad, please complete the application at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. For questions, email info@happilyfureverafter.org.

Story
Our once shy puppy girl Roxie has grown into a playful canine socialite!! Sharing adventures and new experiences with fellow dogs has enabled her to unleash her inner puppy!! Roxie can play all day with her dog pals.. trail blaze in a pack on long leashes.. nose to the ground and her curly little tail high and waggy! Once completely shut down and cowering in corners, "foxy Roxie" now chases balls.. and often returns them except in the event she gets side tracked by the sight of a whirring ball tossed for another dog .. and off she goes to join the chase! One of her favorite games involves the hose.. on any setting! Roxie bites and snaps the out pouring water no matter what setting its on jet, shower or mist! She also kinda plays jump rope and repeatedly runs into the water spray full on.. getting drenched and loving's every moment!! Roxie has a number of unique and highly entertaining moves in her play style .. she actually bounces.. kangaroo style.. also literally leaps over her mates .. even those quite a bit taller than she is.. Roxie like a lot of dogs is really into rolling and somehow manages to roll in tandem with her pals .. almost as if merged into one dog! She's got great play etiquette.. smoothly moves from running chase games to prone mouth wrestling.. to sharing a drink at the water bucket and then lounging comfortably for a rest before it all starts again! THANK YOU for your interest in a rescue dog! Visit our website to fill out an application: www.fortheloveofdogsrescue.org We are a very small organization with limited staff, we ask that you contact us at: LoveDogs.BedfordNY@gmail.com We do ask that all potential adopters have a completed & approved application with us prior to scheduling a visit in order to help us streamline the process.
