I adopted Tish from a shelter 15 years ago. It breaks my heart that I have to rehome her, but my job has changed and I now travel full time. She is the sweetest girl, and the two of us have been on many adventures together. She deserves a family that will love her until the end.

Dolly is at our shelter. Please submit an application from our website or just come in to meet her during open hours! Well, hello, Dolly! Straight from the Bluegrass State comes this charming little Southern belle, and we think you're going to fall head over heels for her! Dolly is a 2 (ish)-year-old, 36-pound Kentucky girl who is said to be a Basenji mix. With her enormous ears, perfectly curled tail, and sweet little smile, she's certainly got the looks! But it's her lovely personality that really makes her special. Dolly came to us from a rural Kentucky shelter, where she had been relinquished by a family who could no longer care for her. So we know she's been someone's pet before, and it certainly shows in her manners. After a long van ride to Chicago, Dolly was treated to a much-needed bath, which she handled like an absolute lady. She was even remarkably unfazed by having her nails trimmed! And her good manners don't stop there. Dolly keeps her kennel nice and clean, walks beautifully on leash, and has been an all-around delight to care for. But what we love most about Dolly is how incredibly affectionate she is. This sweet girl will lean right into you for pets and kisses, and seems genuinely delighted by human attention. She's gentle, loving, and wonderfully engaging, with a bright little mind to match. Did we mention she's super smart, too? Dolly is a perfectly petite package of brains, beauty, and Southern charm. She's the kind of dog who makes a wonderful first impression and somehow manages to become even more endearing the longer you spend with her. Dolly may have lost her first home, but she's ready to find a new one where she can be someone's beloved companion again. Come meet this lovely little lady. We think she'll have you wrapped around that perfectly curled tail in no time! Dolly’s adoption fee is $300. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.

Meet Zorro, a roughly 6-month-old Bull Terrier / Basenji mix with a black-and-white mask around his eyes, tall upright ears, a white chest, and white socks. He’s new to Blues City and already showing who he is: lean and curious, walks nicely on leash, and is great with kids and people. He wants to be in the middle of life, not watching from the hall. Zorro is neutered and ready for an active home that can keep a young, athletic pup busy — walks, play, and a person (or family) he can stick close to. We’re still learning how he does with other dogs; updates will follow as we see more. If a masked, people-loving youngster sounds like your match, Zorro is ready now. ——— Transport is an additional $185 A few key notes about our Rescue... 1. All of our pets start their journey in Memphis Tennessee. 2. No monies exchange hands until the pet has arrived 3. Once adopted, our pets can be transported to Denver, Colorado, the Midwest and all of the north eastern states. 4. We have a Facebook page and an Instagram page. You are welcome to visit to see some of our newly adoptive families. 5. We have been rescuing and transporting pets for 15 years. Our pets do not travel until they have been adopted. We do not have holding facilities in other parts of the United States for meet and greet purposes.
