Story
Hi everyone! My name is Ginger and I’m 4 months old and weigh 18 lbs. I’ve had all my shots and I’m spayed, too! My siblings and I were an owner surrender to the rescue. My mom looked to be possibly a pocket bully and my dad was a taller beagle/bassett mix, we think! I flop and run like a hound. I’m working on potty training because I’m still young, and I’ve been really great using the bathroom in our fenced yard! I also sleep through the night in my crate and I know how to use a dog door, so I’m pretty smart! Here are some things I LOVE: cuddling, sniffing everything, ice cubes, baths, dogs, kids, humans, eating snow, and tripping my foster mom. My foster family hasn’t found anything that I don’t like, at least not yet. I hope to meet you soon!

My adoption fee has been generously sponsored! All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile. After we review your completed survey, we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. We're primarily a volunteer organization, so we appreciate your patience. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sundays and Mondays and will not be processing any applications on that day. Do get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey. A PCH adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH cannot guarantee any pet's availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). Counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents). After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and leash to pick up. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart: Park in the PetSmart Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day photo with your pet and family. PCH supports a 21-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match. If we are not able to provide advice/tools to keep a pet in the home we offer these options: Exchange for a pet that may be a better match** Receive a refund minus a $40 processing fee** With this approach, we can often turn mismatches into opportunities! Thank you, Pet Central Helps!

Story
Meet Maggie! She is a real sweetheart and just wants love from everyone. Maggie is thought to be 6 years old, she was a stray so her age is a guess. Maggie came to us quite thin but looks great now and weighs 25 pounds. She is definitely a beagle but has a longer body so is likely mixed with bassett hound. Maggie is a calm and quiet girl. She does have the typical nose to the ground and is happiest sniffing around the fenced yard and letting us know if there is a critter nearby. Maggie co-exists fine with the other dogs in her foster home but doesn't interact with them much, she seeks out the people and young children. We have not had Maggie around cats. She does need some consistency to reinforce good potty habits. She is good in a kennel, good on a leash, and enjoys going bye bye.  Maggie's adoption fee of $300 covers her spay, microchip with registration, vaccines and flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Please apply at gfrpets.org/apply/adoptdog/ ##2352961##

Meet Libby! This sweet lady is an adult female beagle mix who would make the perfect family pet! 🐶💕 Libby is the sweetest lovebug who adores children of all ages, and she’s great with larger dogs, but smaller dogs need not apply! She sits very well and is treat motivated, so she is very willing to learn all the new tricks 🙂 She also enjoys a good car ride as long as you keep the window down and let her enjoy the fresh air! Libby does great on a leash and enjoys a good walk ☀️ She sleeps in her own doggy bed but would also happily share bed space with you if she’s allowed 🥰 If you’re looking for a dog who’s up for being a couch potato or joining you for long walks outside who loves kids and adults alike, Libby is the pup for you! 🐶💕 (Born March 2024) Additional comments: Large dog friendly with appropriate intros. No small dogs.
