Come visit me at PAW - Adoption fee $450 - Meet Nova! Nova is a senior gal but she is a firm believer in age is just a number, it`s all about how you feel. Due to Nova`s energy level she is definitely young at heart. Nova is looking for someone who will take her on walks where she can let her nose guide her, and allow her to hog the bed at night. Nova is a unique, head-strong, and at times stubborn gal. She will need just the right home for her larger than life personality and quirks. Nova will require a home without any animals or young children. She has shown possessiveness over food and treats while in the shelter, and in her previous home. She will need a family to be willing to work on her with those behaviours. Nova is quite intelligent, and does wonderfully on a leash, and knows all of her basic cues. She doesn`t like to toot her own horn but she is also a pro at ``roll over``. She has been known to go on walks by herself around the neighbourhood so it would be best if she can allow her nose to sniff around her own backyard, safely. If you have breed knowledge on beagles, are willing to put in some work with Nova, and allow her to be her goofy self please come to the shelter to speak with an adoption counsellor!

Story
Dolly is a very sweet dog. She is 3 1/2 years old. She has been excellent with our three kids and is always excited to meet and play with other dogs. She is bell-trained (rings the bell on the door to go outside). We recently moved and she has had some accidents in the new house (likely due to the stress of moving, and we started new jobs at the same time resulting in a higher stress level in the home and less time for her). We believe that with an owner who has more time to devote to her, this will correct itself. We have new (human) health issues that make keeping her unfeasible. We are very sad to be making this post, and only want her to go to a good, loving home. Preference to those familiar with beagles, or with land for her to run on, or availability for proper exercise. She likes to be outside. We have taken her camping several times, and she loves it. At our last house we had a buried wire electric fence and she was successfully trained to stay in the yard without any issues.
