Story
Meet Raveena! This gorgeous small in stature (just 26 pounds) girl is ready for an active home full of adventures, activities and socialization.
She initially landed in a wonderful foster home, where she started off shy but quickly learned she's safe and her confidence has been growing. As she warms up, she's becoming more and more food motivated and has began learning commands. She's eager to learn and to please, so she's picking up new things quickly. We also learned that she's potty trained and crate trained (though she prefers to chill outside her crate when left home alone).
Raveena walks pretty well on leash, she only pulls a little when she's eager to greet other people or dogs. She's been great with all people and kids she's met and is enjoying a world filled with toys to play with. In fact, the way to her heart is playing with her flirt pole. She can be a bit wary of people outside of her family entering the home, though she worked with her foster on this, and has made great progress. With an outside introduction (especially if it involves her favorite flirt pole!), she can now accept people entering the home, keeping to herself and relaxing for a snooze. Raveena would thrive in a patient home, where she can continue this exposure and training, another dog might also help her security, and/or a quiet home without lots of comings and goings.
If you're ready for an active young dog, Raveena might be your perfect fit. She'll need an active home with lots of mental and physical stimulation, such as hiking, running, or new dog sports, as well as plenty of licky mats, puzzle toys and slow feeders. Apply today to meet this high flying ray of sunshine and see if she is the right fit for your lifestyle!
Read what Raveena's current foster has to say about her:
"Ravenna is a sensitive soul whom bonds hard with her people. She enjoys children and female energy and is slow to warm with males. She learns new vocabulary weekly and is intuitive to tone of voice and body language. Ravenna wants to please her family and is constantly looking for eye contact and approval. She follows and learns routine easily and respects boundaries. She currently lives with 3 children, 7 chickens, and 3 ducks and does great with all. She is great on leash, is crate trained, and house broken, the perfect trifecta! She is a little giraffe with beautiful markings and coloration and gets frequent praise when out in the world for her unique look and sweet social demeanor. Ravenna has a bouncy playfulness and silly facial expressions, vocalizations, and head swaying to communicate her enjoyment. She is a pleasure!"
