Story
We’ve had Oreo since he was 14 weeks old. He is an indoor dog and fully house-trained. Oreo loves going on walks and enjoys running in open fields or anywhere he’s allowed to explore. He absolutely loves cuddles and attention from both kids and adults, though he especially adores kids. He is trained on several commands, including outside, snacks, up, sit, and paw. Oreo loves laying on pillows and blankets. He sometimes grunts when he “talks back” or shows a little attitude—it’s actually pretty funny. He also gives hugs. Due to our recent housing situation, our landlord does not allow dogs. It’s truly heartbreaking that it has come to this, but we are looking for a loving family who will take Oreo in and care for him the way we do. Oreo will be 2 years old on 04/30/2026.

He is a grade a purebred muttle 🙂 We rescued Nolan from the shelter before the freeze. We stated on his paperwork he is border collie mix but we truly have no clue. He is currently 6 pounds. He definitely is not a chihuahua, however he won’t be a huge dog, we are guessing 20-25 pounds. He is a funny kid. Great with all animals , people and kids. He is your typical puppy. I am currently in a foster home and not at HSNBA, if you are interested in meeting me, please contact the nice folks at HSNBA so they can put you in contact with my foster family to set up a meet & greet. E-mail HSNBA at adoption@hsnba.org, call us at: (830) 629-5287 or stop by and speak with the folks at HSNBA at 3353 Morningside Dr. to get your information sent over to my foster home. My foster family is the best and can give you more information on me.Meet Milo! 🐾🎾Milo is a bundle of playful energy wrapped in a loving, affectionate heart! This smart, independent pup loves tug-of-war, fetch, and running around with his favorite toys—he’s always ready for some fun and adventure. 🐶💛 Treats and toys are his motivation, and he’s quick to listen and eager to please, making him both obedient and a joy to train. Milo can be a little jumpy at times and occasionally pulls on the leash, but his sweet personality shines through every time. He also seems to enjoy the company of other dogs, and he may already be house trained.Milo is heartworm positive, but don’t worry—this is very treatable! 💕 Heartworm simply means he needs a calm, low-stress environment while finishing treatment, which is why he’d do best in a foster-to-adopt home. 🏡 Treatment options are available, and our front desk can walk you through the details. If you’re looking for a playful, loving, and smart companion who’s ready to brighten your days with fun and affection, Milo could be the perfect match. Come meet him and see his sweet, energetic personality in action! 🐾💛HSNBA lists all animals online from the moment of intake, and our listings are updated automatically every midnight. Some of these animals may not be available for adoption at this moment, but you can always call the shelter at 830-629-5287 for clarification on the adoption process or the animal's current status.
