Story
Jack is a gentle 5 year old German Shepherd. He loves his balls to play and enjoys room to run around outside. He comes in at night to sleep in my bedroom on a large dog bed that will come with him. Jack walks pretty good on a leash and doesn't pull. Due to medical issues I have , i cannot walk him . Jack does bark and dig holes in the yard possibly due to my inability to walk him. Jack eats 4 and 1/2 cups of food a day. I feed him twice a day. ( he is not a picky eater, although I make sure he gets vitamins and pro biotics) He also takes food very gently from your hand. Jack enjoys putting his ball in the swimming pool especially on warm days, and sitting on the first step of the swimming pool. Jack is a special big German Shepherd and is sweet natured. *He also has killed a gopher and doesn't like cats. He doesn't lick your face , he rarely does give you a lick at times.

Bruce (A239275) is a handsome one-year-old German Shepherd who weighs 85 pounds—and he is still very much a big puppy at heart.Bruce was adopted from us in June and recently returned. From what we understand, he was a young dog who got himself into some mischief. German Shepherds are intelligent, active working dogs who need daily exercise, mental stimulation, training, and plenty of time with their people. With the right structure and commitment, Bruce has tremendous potential to become an amazing companion.Before returning to the shelter, Bruce lived both indoors and outdoors with adults, teenagers, and children. He reportedly got along with other dogs as well.Now that Bruce is back at the shelter, it is clear that he is a lot of dog—strong, energetic, and eager to get moving. Several volunteers have noticed that he pulls very strongly on the leash when leaving the shelter for a walk. After about five minutes, however, the intensity decreases, and he settles in more comfortably.Bruce enjoys toys, cuddles, and giving kisses. He appears to know “sit” and will offer his paw. Beneath all that youthful energy is a sweet, affectionate dog who wants to connect with his people.Bruce needs an adopter who understands German Shepherds and is ready to make a meaningful commitment to exercise, training, structure, and mental enrichment.
