The Sweetheart Still Waiting. Laverne has been in foster care for over a year. Her sister was adopted into a loving home… but Laverne is still waiting. And yet, she still wags her tail every day. That’s just who she is. Laverne is in Syracuse NY! We’ll happily call you so you can meet this sweet girl. Apply here: www.friendsfurliferescue.org/adoption-application Laverne is about 2 years old, 40 lbs of love and loyalty, and ready for her forever family. She’s affectionate, gentle, and great with kids, dogs, and pretty much everyone she meets. She’s crate trained, housetrained, and is learning to walk confidently on a leash. She lives for playtime outside, especially if there’s water involved — she’s a total splash queen! Laverne's Story: She and her sister were found abandoned on the streets as puppies. Friends Fur Life Rescue stepped in and placed them in a caring foster home. She’s a total gem. - Great with dogs - Kid-friendly - Housetrained and crate trained - Fully vetted and ready to go Thank you for considering this sweetie! If you meet her and decide she's the right dog for you, our adoption fee is $495. There are no extra fees!

Nala was picked up as a stray after being dumped by her owner along with a few other dogs and weighs about 65 pounds. She’s on the shy side and can startle easily but has been gaining confidence every day, so she’ll need someone who understands that and can work with her on gaining trust and confidence. Yet Nala is still an incredibly gentle Rottie-mix with a love of cookies (for dogs) who walks on a loose leash for our volunteers.

Maisy is a beautiful Rottie mix who loves people and affection. She enjoys her walks outside but be prepared for frequent cuddle stops (not that our volunteers have ever complained about that). You may not get a lot of distance with all the pets but you’ll never doubt her devotion to you. We do think Maisy is looking to be an only pet, but think her love is more than enough to fill a home.
