Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thanks for your interest in a pet from A.R.F.! If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/ Roomba is a 3 month old male Toy Parti Poodle who weighs in at 4 pounds. This pup's adoption fee is $950. If you are still interested, please read more below. Roomba is an adorable Christmas Eve baby. He is the cutest, funniest, little man. He is super playful with the older, bigger (at least double his weight) foster puppies in the house. Then when play time has ended, he wants to snuggle with his human. We are working on his crate training. If he is in with another dog or puppy, he is quiet as a lamb. If he is alone, he will cry for about 15 minutes and then fall asleep. He is happy to go outside as long as his person goes outside with him. And he is learning to also master a piddle pad inside. Once he is fully vaccinated he is going to love frequent daily walks. Not only because he gets to walk with his favorite people, and not because of the cardio benefits. He will love the walks because of all the love and adoration he will get from all the neighbors. He is not shy, he is not fearful of new people, he fully expects adoration and thus far he has been getting the love from everyone he meets. He does get along well with other dogs—one of his foster siblings is 4X his current weight/size and it hasn't fazed him (even though his foster sibling is a crotchety old man). He would be fine in a house or an apartment. He isn’t a bark-y dog (except solo crate training right now). He is just as good with men and women. His foster mom hasn't had access to allow Roomba to meet children with it being spring break season and all. Because of his size, we will not place him in a home with young children under 10 years of age. He makes you smile when you walk in the door at the end of the day, he makes you laugh when you are playing with him or when he is “killing” his plushie toys (most of them being more than twice his size), and he helps you relax whenever he can capture your lap to curl up on and fall asleep. This pup is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and neutered. The new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. Please note ARF does not approve applications for any puppy under 6 months of age to families that live outside of Illinois and/or beyond 100 miles of Wheaton or Glen Ellyn, IL. A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting this pup fill out an online application today! https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/ Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting. ARF is an all volunteer organization. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved. Thank you for your patience! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Thank you for considering a rescue pet from A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation! Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions or schedule meetings until your application has been approved. More information about our adoption process can be found on our website here: https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/ As an all-volunteer, foster home-based organization, A.R.F. Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. Please visit https://www.arf-il.org/events/ for a list of our upcoming adoption events.
