You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ace came to the shelter as an owner surrender due to a rental situation. He's a miniature poodle mix of some kind. There could be some shih tzu or even some kind of terrier. It's hard to tell. He does have the curly coat of a poodle. He is kind of a mess right now and we will work on getting him groomed. We do plan to have him neutered on Jan. 22nd and his fee is $150. Ace is a little dynamo. He is a young and very active dog who will require good exercise. He will also need some work on basic training but is smart and eager to please. He will also need to be groomed on a regular basis. Ace would do best in a home that can keep up with his training and exercise needs. He has done okay with other dogs. He has not had any experience with young kids or cats. He is a vocal dog so he might not be the best fit for an apartment situation.  NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 11, 2026, 12:17 am
