Story
Hi I’m Chips Ahoy, also known as Chippy! I’m a 6ish month old German shepherd mix, who got all the German shepherd genes except the size! I’m a short little dude, I barely come up to my foster mom’s knee, but I’m full of energy and spunk!  My favorite hobbies are exploring the yard with my foster brother, testing the durability of everything with my teeth, and laying in the toy bin.  My icks are door frames, loud noises and being an only child.  I’m still a little scared of the big wide world, so I do best with slow intros and a doggy sibling to help me be my most confident self!  I like to be around people, but I’ll happily sleep in my crate all night and chill in there while my people are out. I’m potty trained, and I’m learning new tricks every day! I’m very smart and super food motivated and I’d love a family who will keep me busy!  I’m good with kids above the toddler years, and I love to play with cats but they don’t always love to play back. I need a home with another doggy sibling who doesn’t mind me being their shadow. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. Story
Meet Ike! This handsome and energetic 2-year-old German Shepherd has a heart of gold and a zest for life. Rescued from the streets, Ike has blossomed into a stunning pup with a coat that gleams with health and vitality, thanks to some tender care and attention. He's mastered the art of crate and potty training and is quite the clever fellow, knowing a few commands already. Ike's playful nature shines through during playtime, where he delights in chasing his toys and engaging in fun activities. His love for baths has transformed him into a fresh-smelling companion who is always ready for cuddles on the couch. Ike's affectionate demeanor extends to children, making him a wonderful family companion. Although he prefers to be the sole pet in the household, Ike's protective instincts add a layer of security, as he diligently alerts you to any potential visitors with his watchful bark. Everyone who meets him falls in love with his sweet nature and puppy-like energy. With a little extra exercise and training, Ike's potential shines even brighter, as evidenced by a recent pet behavior assessment. With the right guidance and care, Ike is ready to become the loyal and loving companion you've been searching for. Adoption fee is $250.
