Story
Desi is a goofy, affectionate girl with a heart as big as her personality. Everyone who meets her comments on just how sweet she is — and it’s true! She absolutely adores her people and wants nothing more than to be close to you. If you sit down in a recliner, don’t be surprised if Desi hops right into your lap for a cuddle. She may not realize her size, but in her mind she’s definitely a lap dog!Desi is fully house trained and kennel trained, and she rides beautifully in the car. She is deaf but has adapted incredibly well and takes her cues from her people with enthusiasm and trust. She’s still working on her leash manners and can be reactive on walks, so she’ll need a patient and committed family who will continue helping her build skills and confidence as she learns to be a great canine citizen. With slow introductions and clear boundaries, Desi does well with other dogs. She can also live with cats and respectful children when introductions are handled thoughtfully. She’s playful in a delightfully goofy way and brings so much joy to everyday life.Desi will thrive in a home that embraces her quirks, supports her continued training, and welcomes a loving, cuddly companion who wants to be involved in everything you do.PLEASE NOTE: To meet our adoptable dogs, please fill out an adoption application. She is playful and full of personality, always ready for a cuddle session or a bit of fun around the house. Once she bonds with you, she becomes a loyal companion who truly enjoys being part of your daily life.Winter is fully house trained and kennel trained and thrives when she has a consistent routine. She can be reactive on walks, so she will benefit from a confident and patient handler who can continue helping her build positive experiences when out and about. In the home she is a loving and happy dog who does best in a calm, structured environment where she knows what to expect.Winter would do best in a home without cats.
