Story
Zeus is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves nothing more than being close to his people. He’s an indoor dog with great home manners and a big personality to match his name.Zeus is housetrained and lets you know he needs to go outside by running to the door and giving a little whine. He’s had only a few accidents a year. He’s also crate trained, though he hasn’t used one recently, and he’s comfortable being left to roam the house. He can usually wait 4–8 hours between potty breaks. Zeus has been described as playful, affectionate, vocal, active, and yet, a total couch potato too—it all depends on his mood! He loves plush toys, rope toys, playing gently with his mouth, and curling up for cuddles. Zeus enjoys pets and attention, though he may politely move away when his ears are touched. He’s good for baths and general handling. He was allowed on the furniture and definitely enjoys the comfy life. This smart boy knows sit, stay, come, no, and heel. He may bark or whine when left alone or in the car. He chews on his toys to pass the time and would thrive best with regular exercise. Zeus isn’t the biggest fan of leashes, but with patience and positive experiences, he can learn that walks are just as fun. Fortunately, Zeus has had no issues with leash walking in shelter and is very polite. Zeus is wonderful with women and amazing with children. He’s good with dogs, cats, and even small animals. He can be hesitant with men at first, but with gentle introductions and trust-building, he warms up. We always encourage slow introductions. We can provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if needed. Zeus is a loving, loyal, playful boy who wants nothing more than a family who understands him, guides him, and gives him a warm place on the couch.

Story
Blu has spent his whole life as an indoor companion and enjoys spending most of his day—and all of his nights—inside with his people. He has excellent potty habits and knows to go outside, though he isn’t used to signaling when he needs to go since he has followed the same routine for years. With consistency, he should adapt well to a new schedule! This sweet guy is fully crate trained and can comfortably settle for long stretches—up to 12 hours overnight and 8–12 hours between potty breaks. Blu has been left alone for the workday without any trouble and has shown no concerning behaviors whether people are home or away. Blu loves pets, affection, and a good play session! He can be touched anywhere and is great in the car. Bath time makes him a little anxious, but with encouragement he settles in and appreciates the attention. While Blu doesn’t know many formal commands yet, he may know sit and lay—he’s just not quite committed to staying in place. With his energy and eagerness to interact, he’ll likely pick up training quickly with a little patience. He is a people pleaser and just wants to make his people happy! Blu is active and will be his happiest self with a positive outlet for his energy. He enjoys the idea of playing with other dogs, though he hasn’t had many positive opportunities to do so as he was consistently being beat up and challenged by the senior dog in his previous home. We encourage slow introductions and a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if you have other dogs in your home. Blu will likely feel most comfortable with an easy-going, respectful friend. He is friendly with both men and women, and he has done great with meeting new people! His experience with children, cats, and small animals is unknown. Blu is a lively, loving boy who’s ready for a home where he can be part of the family, enjoy playtime, and learn new things. If you’re looking for an upbeat companion with a big heart and lots of potential, Blu might be your perfect match.
