Story
Welcome Diamond to CCPAL Rescue. Diamond is a 3-year old GSD with really beautiful traditional looks. She is black and tan and weighs about 80 pounds. She is a tall girl and looks to be a good weight. She is good with other dogs and she loves her kennel. She is a timid girl but she does look like a formidable force. She bonds deeply and is a smart girl. She already has bonded to the kennel workers who are female. She knows sit and some hand commands and is decent on a leash. She is potty trained and good in a car. She would be great with someone that knows the breed. She is moderately active and not extremely confident. She will be a wonderful companion dog and would be good with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is currently spayed and vaccinated. She is healthy and looking for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. . Her adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.       Kyrr is a happy, silly, and endlessly curious Norwegian Elkhound who’s still learning all the exciting (and sometimes confusing) parts of home life. He’s playful, sweet, and loves being close to his people, though he’s not shy about telling you if he disapproves of being in his kennel when you’re in the other room. Once he’s settled, his kennel feels like a safe little den, and he’ll nap there contently during the day—especially if he can be near you while you work. He’s still mastering the art of transitions, like going from indoors to outdoors or getting into the car, but he’s gaining confidence every day. Kyrr loves toys of all kinds—soft, squeaky, chewy—and he’s open to trying new treats, though he has a bit of a refined palate and won’t just gobble up anything. While thunderstorms, loud noises, and big bursts of activity can make him nervous, he’s happiest in a calm, patient environment where he can take his time adjusting. He’s almost potty trained with a good routine, crate trained and does well riding in the car. Kyrr absolutely adores other dogs. He lights up when he has a canine buddy to play with and feels more at ease with them nearby. He’s still learning boundaries (sometimes he’s a little too enthusiastic and accidentally steps on his friends), but he’s quick to take the hint when told. Because he’s still fearful on leash and is considered a flight risk, a fenced yard is a must for his safety. He’ll thrive in a home with another friendly dog, considerate kids, and people who understand his breed and are ready to help him gain confidence. Once his leg issue is addressed and he’s more comfortable, there’s a good chance he’ll be even more playful, energetic, and ready to explore the world—at his own gentle pace. **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  T his puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    ********* Please apply online to schedule a one-on-one meeting with me - https://underdogrescuemn.com/canine-adoption-application/ DOB: Approximately 5/23/16 Requires another dog in home: Yes, needs another large social dog Okay with dogs of all sizes: Yes Okay with cats: Unknown Okay with children under 12 years old: Unknown weigh: 63 pounds Requires a fenced yard: Yes Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area Hello, my name is Ellen. I am a gorgeous, sweet, and very kind albeit shy adult female German Shepherd. Truth be told, I am afraid of pretty much everything in this enormous world from commotion to loud noises like thunderstorms so a fenced yard is a must. Additionally, I am looking for a VERY special fur-ever family who is lovingly patient and will NEVER give up on me! I have not met any cats or kids, but I am good with other dogs and will need another large dog who will help me feel comfortable and secure! I don’t play much but I’m a smart girl who knows what “go potty” means and I’m potty & leash trained. As for the kennel/crate, foster mom doesn’t put me in that cave because I am an amazingly good girl who simply lays in her bedroom, she can even shut the door if she wants to because I feel safe in there. I am very slowly learning what it’s like to feel safe and loved. In fact, I have become comfortable enough with foster mom that I greet her in the morning by putting my head right next to hers while I patiently await lovingly gentle head scratches! Hint, hint! By the way, I also love butt scratches and ear rubs! Just sayin’! Hee, hee!! Anyway, I really am an incredibly sweet girl who tries SO hard to be brave. All I need now is a calm fur-ever home. Sure, I may not ever be that girl that greets you at the door or gives you kisses but I assure you that I have an enormous heart that is brimming with unconditional love and I long to share with YOU!! All I ask is that you give unconditional love in return and allow me the time, space, and patience I need to become comfortable and learn to trust in my own time! I promise that I’m worth it and in time, I will love you more than all the pebbles of sand on the planet! Love, Ellen *Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends.  In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.
