Story
Senshi is a beautiful young solid black,  1-year-old German Shepherd/Lab mix with a big personality packed into a perfectly portable, 45-pound package. This smart, energetic girl is the definition of fun- playful, affectionate, and always ready for her next adventure. With her classic German Shepherd smarts and high food drive, Senshi is eager to learn and loves having a job to do. She is already learning sit, stay, and down, is house-trained, and (tries very hard to) not jump up. She’d thrive with someone who can give her a job to do, whether that's training, hiking, or even dog sports- she’s got the drive and enthusiasm to be an amazing partner. Senshi absolutely loves toys, playtime, and anything involving treats. Whether it’s a game of fetch or exploring the outdoors, she’s happiest when she’s active and engaged. She can tolerate cats, though she may be a bit too playful for them at times. Due to her energy level and enthusiasm, she’d be best suited for a home without young children. but over 10 years of age would be fine. Her ideal home would be with an active single person or couple who’s looking for a loyal companion to share adventures, hikes, and everyday life with. In return, Senshi will give you endless love, loyalty, and a whole lot of fun. If you’re looking for a smart, energetic best friend who’s always up for an adventure, Senshi might just be your perfect match!   If you are interested, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 10, 2026, 12:26 pm

Story
Alexis is a stunning, purebred German Shepherd with a loyal heart and so much love left to give. She has been cherished since she was a young puppy by a devoted dad who is now facing one of the hardest decisions of his life. Due to serious health challenges and a move closer to medical care, he can no longer keep his beloved girls—and he is absolutely heartbroken. At Critter Cavalry Rescue, we made him a promise: Alexis will find a safe, loving home where she can thrive and be treasured just as she deserves. Alexis is a beautiful girl who could benefit from losing about 20 pounds, and she’s ready for a fresh start filled with healthy routines and fun activity. She’s smart, affectionate, and enjoys both playtime and relaxing at home with her people. She has lived with children and other dogs and does wonderfully—but she will need a cat-free home. She especially loves playing with her Blue Heeler sister, Sassy, and has been a constant, loyal companion. Now it’s her turn to find a family who will give her the same unconditional love she has always given. Alexis is ready for her next chapter—a life filled with walks, companionship, and a family who will keep the promise we made to her dad: that she will always be safe, loved, and secure.   If you feel that pull in your heart, please reach out.   Email: ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Be sure to include your city and state when inquiring.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 10, 2026, 12:26 pm

Story
A small bundle of fluff, charm, and unstoppable energy is searching for his forever home.   Meet Buck, a 16-week-old Norwegian Elkhound weighing about 15 pounds. Today he’s living his best life—but his start wasn’t quite so carefree. Born with what his breeders believe resembled “swimmers,” Buck had to work hard early on to learn how to properly use his legs.   Thankfully, with early intervention, gentle stretching, and a lot of determination, he quickly caught up to his siblings. In fact, he became the swiftest—and sneakiest—of the bunch. From there, his strength steadily built as he took his “exercise program” very seriously. Today, you’d never guess that zipping around on all four strong legs once took effort.   He does have one little signature feature from those early days—a slight kink in his tail, likely related to his initial but brief mobility challenges. It only adds to his unique charm.   Because of his history, Buck’s weight will need to be monitored throughout his life to avoid unnecessary strain on his special little legs. But that’s just part of who he is—and it makes him all the more special.   Buck is currently learning all the important puppy skills: leash walking, pee pad training, and how to grow into the amazing companion he’s meant to be. He absolutely LOVES other dogs and would thrive in a home with a fenced yard and a playful canine friend.   If this sweet, resilient boy feels like he could make your family complete, please reach out to Critter Cavalry Rescue at newengland@gmail.com to apply.
