Story
Meet Sydney, a serene and affectionate Belgian Malinois Shepherd mix with a heart as gentle as her gaze. Sydney is the definition of calm—nothing seems to faze her. She’s incredibly dog and cat friendly, and her low to medium energy level makes her a wonderful match for a peaceful home. Sydney is being fostered in a loving home in San Antonio, TX, where she gets along beautifully with her German Shepherd foster sister. Sydney walks beautifully on a leash and makes an excellent walking buddy for those who enjoy quiet neighborhood strolls. However, her true happy place is outside—she absolutely thrives in a yard where she can explore, relax, and enjoy nature. A home with outdoor space is a must for this sweet girl. Potty trained and polite, Sydney is well-mannered around the house. She's a little shy when meeting new people or visiting unfamiliar places, so she’ll need a patient and loving family willing to give her time to settle in. Once she trusts you, she’ll show you her soft, affectionate side and soak up every bit of attention you're willing to give. Sydney is also a cozy cuddle buddy—she loves curling up next to you on the couch for some quiet bonding time. While she’s not a fan of car rides, Sydney is happy living the homebody life. She’s currently looking for a foster or adopter in Central Texas who can offer her the calm, consistent environment she deserves. If you're looking for a gentle, loyal companion, Sydney is ready to make your heart her home. Story
Merlin is just a big love bug! Age: We adopted him at 4 months old from the shelter. We celebrate his birthday as July, 2023 (our best guess). Personality: He is a calm, gentle, tender guy who just wants to cuddle everyone. Most of his day is spent calmly observing the neighborhood, lounging on one elbow. Looks: He has the meltiest, warmest brown eyes that ooze patience. He is lanky (slim on sides with a thin waist) with a smooth, shiny coat. He has a lazy gait and trots when he runs. Kids: He is such an excellent family dog and gentle with all 4 of our kids. Training: He listens to commands (sit, stay, okay, down, come) and is attentive/eager to please. He really is a “gentleman!” Adoption reason: Our allergies are too strong to keep him indoors all day. Our fence is low (30” in spots) and Merlin has figured out how to hop over. Our neighbors panic if dogs get out and it has our whole family on edge.

Story
Holly is full of energy, super sweet, very intelligent, and a little mischievous. Once you win her trust, you’ve got it. But she is still a free spirit. Holly loves to run around. She is constantly on the move and looking for adventure. She needs a home that will allow her several hours of outdoors time a day. Whether that’s long runs/walks or time in a fenced in backyard. If you do not have a fence, that will probably be fine, but she will start testing the limits of how far she can explore. In my experience she always comes back if she does wander. Holly is house trained, but if she doesn’t get out when she wants to go - she will go in the house. And once she’s picked a “spot” that will be where you will always find accidents. She acts like a guard dog - you’ll always know when someone’s at the door. She wants to chase everything. And likes to wrestle and roll in the grass. If she feels cornered or overwhelmed she will act out/defensively.
