🐆✨ Meet Bella the Bengal: 11 Years Young & Still Absolutely Fabulous ✨🐆 Some cats are sweet. Some cats are cuddly. And then there are cats who are beautiful, intelligent, independent, opinionated, and just a little bit spicy.❤️ Bella is an 11-year-old Bengal girl who recently arrived at Homeward Bound after spending her entire life with the family who loved her. Her family made the incredibly difficult decision to find her a new home after their daughter began experiencing severe allergies. After 11 years together, this was not an easy goodbye. And now Bella is looking for someone who understands that a cat like her isn't just a pet—she's a whole personality. 🐆👑 Bella is confident and NOT shy. She enjoys attention from her people and has happily allowed the kids in her former home to pet her and interact with her. But she's also an independent lady who appreciates having the choice to decide when she's ready for attention. Put a cozy blanket on your lap? Bella may very well come curl up on it. 😻 Want to smother her with attention when she's not in the mood? She may politely—and then perhaps less politely—let you know that's not on today's schedule. 😂 Bella knows how to set boundaries. And that's why we're looking for a cat-savvy adopter or someone experienced with Bengals who understands feline body language, respects a cat's signals, and appreciates a girl who likes affection on her own terms. Bella lived with a Labrador for eight years, and the two were best friends. ❤️ She's never lived with another cat, so a slow and thoughtful introduction would be important if another feline is in her future. She's been an indoor-only cat, has impeccable litter box habits, and her family describes her as healthy and very independent. She has eaten a raw diet for much of her life, although she has also eaten dry food. And yes, Bella is front-declawed, something her family now wishes they had never done. Because of that, she'll need an indoor home where her paws are protected and where her humans understand that she has fewer ways to defend herself if she ever feels threatened. After 11 years with one family, Bella deserves someone who will appreciate the amazing cat she is—not try to turn her into a different one. She's gorgeous. She's smart. She's affectionate. She's independent. She's got opinions. Soon to be 10 year old cat. Playful, loving, a bit of a brat a times. Very outgoing, indoor cat. Has grown up and been around a golden retriever his whole life. Loves chicken, sunbathing, and curling up into a ball. Has a good amount of energy and is prone to some entertaining bouts of the zooms. He is an epileptic, and needs a transdermal gel in his ear twice a day. He’s been seizure free for nearly 7 years since being put on the medicine and his medical testing is all healthy and normal. Expecting a baby soon is the only reason I’m looking to rehome him, he’s a great cat.

Mom Cupcake (formerly "Chika") and son Chiko were rescued from a hoarding situation in NW Las Vegas. With 30+ cats and four dogs in a very small apartment, conditions were grim. Cupcake and Chiko were outdoors most of the time, and several other cats from this situation had already disappeared, been hit by a car, or killed by a neighbor's dog. When Cupcake developed a severe hematoma on her ear and the owner refused to provide medical treatment, a good Samaritan got her to the vet and and contacted us for help. With severe rains headed our way (despite not really being a foster based rescue), we couldn't leave her outside, so we took Cupcake and her son Chiko into our care. This sweet girl, who has the most beautiful markings- her mom was part Bengal- is getting used to indoor life. She is affectionate and silly and loves to chill near her foster mom and dad. She is your little shadow and likes to be wherever her people are. Cupcake's downturned ear is adorable! These babies have survived terrible conditions and are quite attached to one another. Please consider adopting Cupcake and Chiko together. We will reduce the adoption fee for each cat by $50.
