Story
Nova is a one year year old girl pure bred spotted bengal cat. She is very sweet and affectionate with adults, not so much with children. She has a lot of energy and is very playful however, my child finds her type of play to be scary (chase/hunt). She is brilliant however, because she knows exactly how to get play time and that involves her chasing them. She needs constant stimulation or else her zoomies take over. When you tire her out, you can 100% expect cuddle time, she absolutely loves head rubs. She doesn’t like to be alone, she will follow you from room to room just to be around you. The decision to rehome her is heartbreaking but it would be the best for her to go to a home that doesn’t have children, but with an owner who understands her energetic and curious nature.

Story
Hi, Leo is an amazing cat and honestly feels like my family. I have had Leo since he was 3 months old and pretty much had him my entire time living in New York. Unfortunately over the last 2 years he’s had two urinary blockages that have been very costly and very stressful both for him and me. I cannot afford to continue to pay for medical bills involving further blockages. I have tried a lot of different things advised by vets but am still scared this will pop up again. This is honestly a very difficult thing for me as he is a big part of my life but I think it’s something I have to do to be responsible. I also want to not think about money when it comes to his care

Story
Meet Coco Chanel: a true showstopper with a personality to match! This gorgeous Bengal girl is as sweet as they come-affectionate, people-focused, and always ready to be by your side. She loves gently nudging your hand for more pets and will happily soak up all the attention you're willing to give.Like many Bengals, Coco is quite the conversationalist and will chat with you throughout the day. She thrives on human companionship and loves being the center of attention. When it comes to other animals, however, Coco is very clear about her preferences: she must be the ONLY animal in her home. No other cats, no dogs, and no other pets-zero exceptions. Coco previously lived with a dog, and the experience was unsuccessful, resulting in stress-related destructive behaviors involving the furniture. Her previous owner also confirmed that she does not get along with other cats. For Coco, having her people and her territory all to herself is essential. It's also important to understand that owning a Bengal is different from owning a typical domestic cat. Coco needs a Bengal-savvy, cat-savvy adopter who can provide plenty of interactive play, mental enrichment, vertical space, scratching opportunities, and outlets for her intelligence and energy. Bengals can become bored quickly, and when their needs aren't met, they can find their own-and sometimes destructive-ways to entertain themselves.Coco is looking for a home where she can be your one-and-only, where her unique personality is appreciated, and where she's given the enrichment and attention she needs to thrive. If you're ready for a beautiful, affectionate, highly interactive Bengal who wants you all to herself, Coco Chanel may be your girl!If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.savehomelessanimals.org. SAVE is operating by appointment-only for approved adopters. For more information please call SAVE at 609-309-5214. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Grey Weight: 17.5 Age: 5yrs 4mths 3wks

Story
Meet Lady Plump, and her BFF Lord Chonksworth, — New Arrivals! They currently in foster care and ready for adoption via our virtual process! This bonded pair just arrived and are still getting settled in, so we’re just beginning to learn who they are. Right now, everything is new—new people, new sounds, new routines—and we’re giving them time to relax, decompress, and show us their true personality at their own pace. Here’s what we know so far about their time in foster care: https://bestfriends.sharepoint.com/:b:/s/GRP_NYC_Foster/IQBeHX4xMU8FTrgDTDbKK_Z2AdXx52KbsDohMgcp2Lm7BnU?e=ZtmFLF Their foster says "Lord Chonksworth is the sweetest cat I’ve ever met in my life. Within a day or two, I could pat the spot next to me and he comes running over to sit on my lap! Lady Plump is shyer, but still such a sweetheart! She loves to be pet on her belly. Despite being a large cat, Lord can jump up onto my bed, couch, and chair, and ALWAYS comes running when I call his name. He loves making biscuits on me and has the cutest tiniest little meow when he’s hungry. Lady has the sweetest little face and is such a good cat.". "Lord Chonksworth and Lady Plump are the sweetest, most gentle, loving cats. As soon as we got home, they were quick to warm up with lots of snuggles, belly rubs, and rolling around. Lady Plump was more shy at first, but quickly came out of her shell. She loves chasing a laser pointer, especially before meal time! Lord Chonksworth prefers to be on a lap whenever he can and he loves kneading. Lady Plump and Lord Chonksworth are the most gentle cats with me and with each other. They are so affectionate." "Lord Chonksworth and Lady Plump are so sweet and cuddly, to me and to each other. Lady Plump is curious and loves to explore. She was a little shy at first but quickly came out of her shell! Lord is happy to cuddle all day. They are both such lap cats and love belly rubs, rolling around, and being pet. Once they settled in, they started playing more. Lady loves chasing a laser pointer and Lord prefers to chase a mouse on a string - they both can run!". They are both neutered and vaccinated and microchipped and have received preventative treatments to ensure they are ready for their next steps. Submit an adoption survey from above and our team will reach out via phone or email (check spam) to schedule a counseling call. For any additional questions, please contact fosternyc@bestfriends.org.
