Story
Our hearts break to rehome our Bernie boy. He truly is the best, but needs to be in a home without young kids Bernie just turned 1 & came from an ethical breeder! He is very well trained. He did a board and train program & he is house trained, crate trained, can sit, place, lay down, stay, leave it, off, come, give paw, and spin. He walks great on a leash & knows go potty. He does not climb only the couch or bed, but he has been known to counter surf when no one is looking. You do need to be careful with socks, underwear & stuffed animals as he loves them! With a bit more training I'm sure this stealthy sealing habit will be gone. He was also neutered last month. Bernie loves to be apart of the pack, he's always interested in what you are doing and just wants to be around. He is very loving and so friendly! He can get shy around new male humans. He gets very excited when he sees other dogs and just wants to romp around! Everyone that meets Bernie just falls in love with him.

This sweet 11 year old mini Poodle has been with us since February 2020, spending his time with an amazing foster.  Wiley came from a local shelter with two debilitated back legs. After multiple vet visits to seek out his diagnosis, it was identified that both of Wiley’s knees have severely subluxated patellas. Based on the severity and his age, surgery is not recommended. He will be on Gabapentin and in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.   He cannot go for long walks and cannot climb stairs.     Ever since Wiley came to our rescue, he has been in great spirits and has a very loving and friendly disposition with his human but he does not do well with other dogs. If you are interested in one of our dogs, please complete an application on line at www.ahome4everrescue.org Milton is a 6 year old, 11 lb male miniature poodle mix who was rescued from the Riverside Shelter after he had been found on the streets, clearly neglected and ignored.   After a bath and grooming he looked like a different dog.   He is learning to trust but still is hesitant if a leash is slipped over his head.   He is improving every day and needs now to move to a foster or permanent home where he can continue to learn to trust.   If you are willing to open your heart and home to either foster or adopt Milton, please complete an application on line at www.ahome4everrescue.org.   --- Come meet our dogs on Saturdays at PetSmart in Costa Mesa from 11:30-2:30.
