Story
We got Avery as a puppy 2 months old and she is now 6! She is such an amazing dog. She is so attentive to us and so smart. We have another dog too and with just having another baby boy and another boy toddler it is just too much for us cause she has so much energy. We don’t have time to run her around like she needs to be or walked around the neighborhood. It breaks my heart having to do this as I had 2 homebirths and she was so helpful for me always knowing when I needed to pet her for comfort during labor. And always near and protecting me while nursing my babies. She is so good and sweet but she does bark if someone comes in the house but it only lasts a few seconds then she stops. I want her to go to a good loving home 🫶🏼Before I had kids I’d take her to the beach with a tennis ball and I would throw it int the ocean and she would swim to get it and she would run the beach and she absolutely love it. I miss taking her there but it’s just become to hard with the kids.

Hi, I’m Max, a senior dog with a heart as big as my smile. I love lounging around, enjoying quiet moments with friends, both feline and canine. I’m smart, too, knowing just when to offer a gentle nuzzle. My days are mellow. I do take medication for a heart murmur, but it doesn’t slow me down! I'm a good communicator, as well, letting you know when I am hungry or need to go out for my walk. I dream of a forever home where I can share my calm love and companionship.
