Story
Bernie is a goofy, deeply affectionate 3-year-old Bernedoodle. With his people, he’s a gentle giant. He loves to snuggle, follow you around, play tug, and sit on laps. He’s smart, eager to engage, and bonds closely with his family. We love him very much and wish we could be his forever home, but he is highly stressed around our young kids and we are no longer able to meet his needs. We want to find him a safe home where he can thrive - and we want to be upfront about his needs:Very high energy; needs lots of daily exerciseAnxious; barks a lot, esp. at people/dogs passing the houseLeash and fence reactive to dogs and peopleEscape artist; needs a secure fence and careful doorsJumps when excited; has knocked kids over. No young childrenCan play rough with dogs. Best as only dog or with a confident, high-energy dogCan be highly stressed by grooming. We are happy to answer questions and share vet records.
