Story
Meet Bing! This 2-and-a-half-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog-Poodle blend weighs 65 lbs. Bing, or as his friends call him, Binky, is an absolute sweetie who brings so much joy into the lives of each and every person that he meets! General Behavior: Bing is a happy and playful pooch! He can take some time to become comfortable in new environments, but once he is, he is a bouncy, active, and affectionate guy! Likes & Dislikes: Bouncy Bing loves to give kisses and cuddle with his humans. He enjoys spending time with his family, especially when toys are involved! Training: This handsome boy has good basic manners, and while he loves his walks, he is still working on his leash-walking skills. He does well with his housetraining when kept to a consistent schedule and is overall a very smart and fast learner. Medical: Bing is a healthy pup and will just require his monthly heartworm and flea prevention, like any other dog. Other Animals: Bing loves to play with other dogs and would thrive in a home with another. He will require a home without cats.  Children: Bing LOVES to jump up and give hugs, and while we’re happy he’s happy, we try to discourage this behavior. He could easily knock over young kiddos; therefore, a home without young children is required. Older children (8+) would be okay. Home: Playful and energetic Bing would thrive in an active home with a family that can offer him lots of activity and mental stimulation. Having humans that are home more often than not, along with a canine friend to keep him company, are a must! Grooming: As a Poodle blend, Bing requires regular grooming every 8 weeks or so to keep his coat in tip-top shape. The cost of grooming for a pup of his breed and size is approximately $90+. Any potential applicants should be aware of this recurring expense. Overall: Bing is a happy pooch full of so much joy! He is sure to bring loads of happiness into his forever home. Are you the one for Bing? Then visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with his foster family if it’s a match. He is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption donation is $500. ##1972180##

Story
We adopted Durango (Rango) as a puppy. He is a purebred Newfoundland weighing around 140 lbs. He is 5 years old as of January. He is a gentle giant who has never shown aggression towards anyone- dog or human. He has been well socialized and is very friendly and playful. A few times in the past, a dog has been aggressive towards him and he becomes a big scaredy cat. He is a good guard dog in the sense that he alerts us if he hears or sees anyone on our property. Although he is all bark and no bite. He does shed and drool, as is standard for newfoundlands. He loves people and is very sweet with our two young children. We are so emotional having to let go of him, but our schedules are far too busy with a growing business and young family to give him the love and care that he deserves.
