Story
We are sadly looking to rehome our 2-year-old dog, Maximus. This has not been an easy decision, but we must do what’s best for him.He is a sweet, caring, loyal, and goofy boy. He loves to snuggle on the couch and is convinced he’s a little baby deserving of being in your lap. He loves to play with his toys, squeaky balls being his favorite. He’s a smart boy that knows his basic commands but could use more training.He is known for running and trying to explore an area, so he needs supervision around doors to ensure he doesn’t run away. He will also jump over short fences, so a tall privacy will do him best for unsupervised outside time. He does not like the heat much, but adores the freezing cold. He is prone to ear infections in the warmer months. He also has some anxiety in new situations but he has anti-anxiety meds. He absolutely adores kids and anyone who’ll give him attention. Overall, he’s a good (at times yappy) boy that needs to find his forever home. Text me for more details.

This sweet girl is crate trained, potty trained, and good with other dogs. She’s a smart girl too and already knows how to shake! 🐾 Sadie would do best in a home with kids over the age of 5. She’s a big girl and still needs some work on her leash skills, so her new family will need to continue practicing with her. King is a male Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix who is 2 years old, and about 68ish lbs. He is looking to be a part of a family that can't wait to give him the time and attention he has been needing for a long time. He needs to gain a few pounds as he is a bit skinny for a boy of his stature. King is looking for a home with a fenced in yard to romp and play in, and roam and protect as the Great Pyrenees in him likes to do. King is said to have lived with a cat, however GRRAND has not cat tested him, and he gets along with other dogs.  His new family will need to have the patience to work with King since he has not had any training and give him the exercise and direction he needs as he is still young and active. Our GRRAND volunteer who has hung out with King in the field says: "King is a gorgeous and handsome Retriever/Pyrenees mix. He is shy yet curious and will warm up to people after he thoughtfully studies you. Sweet and gentle in nature, King would love to have a human or family of his own." Loula is a 5 year old, Great Pyrenees mix (we believe she is a Pyradoodle!) at only 50ish lbs who is being surrendered to GRRAND as her family tells us: "We are relocating to a larger city where we will not have the outdoor space or time to care for her properly. She currently has a large yard to play in, and she will not have that when they move." She should go to a home with no small children as her current home has them and we are told: " While we do have children, she likes to herd/follow small children and it does cause her to be stressed and not settle down when multiple kids are running around, and she does not like it when they are around while she is eating."  Loula is crate-trained and sleeps in it at night and needs plenty of activity to keep her busy. She will need a home with a fenced in yard so she can hang out and play. Our GRRAND volunteer who hangs with Loula in the GRRAND play yard tells us: "We were back in our field today with Miss Loula, who has recently had a second grooming and is looking even more beautiful. Loula is a Goldendoodle mix and she is great fun. She has a great sense of humor and likes to run like a gazelle while having a ball thrown for her, but she also loves to sit and be petted. She knows basic commands, including recall upon hearing her name. This girl needs to put some weight on her bones, but she is looking better everyday. It's always a great time with Loula!" Fred is a 1.5 year old Great Pyrenees pup that was dumped in a ditch with his sibling Ethel, and found by a good Samaritan. She brought them to her house to clean them up, and had them for 3 weeks trying to find their home, with no one claiming them. She realized she could not keep them and called GRRAND for help as her yard is way too small for 2 big pups like them. Fred is going to be a BIG boy when full grown, so you must be a family ready for a polar bear in your house!  Fred is a very handsome and gregarious boy. He loves to explore but also enjoys human company... He is a true snugglebug, Fred is a fan of belly rubs and sitting close to you. On the smaller side of the Pyrenees breed, his fur grows in regal fashion, providing a ruff around his neck and haunches. He has been at the kennel way too long, and he is desperately looking for a foster or forever family. He is house-trained and is so very sweet.  The Great Pyrenees love to hang out, roam and patrol their yard, and they do that best in a secure area. Fred is looking for a secure above ground fenced yard and a family that loves to understand their breed. They have so many similiarities to Goldens, but we suggest you research them to understand how they are different too.  We are still learning about Fred so please check back for more info, or fill out an app at GRRAND.org if you would like to meet them!     ##2542955##
