Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. We think every dog that comes into our rescue is special, but every now and again there is truly a unicorn that we have the pleasure to rehome. Say hello to Stella. Stella is a 1 and 1/2 year old spayed female bernadoodle. She came from a loving home but the family was no longer able to care for her properly. We had an amazing foster home that said yes to fostering her and she is now ready to find her forever home.  This is what her foster mom has to say about Stella.  She's doing fantastic!  She's still very skinny, so she's being fed 4 times a day. She's well behaved. Doesn't chew anything.  Wants to be with her humans. She is great with other dogs, cats, kids (borrowed the neighbors' kids and she was wonderful with them ages 1 to teens). She barks only when someone is at the door. She is polite and doesn't beg at the table. She likes to go for walks. She has lots of energy.  Loves sleeping at the foot of the bed at night. She is great in the car too. She's the best dog. She would make a fantastic service dog. I put a trainer vest on her and took her to the autoparts store. She is great on the leash and wasn't fazed with the new surroundings.  For such a young dog, I would say she is a 1 in a million dog!  Stella recently had the benefit of a spa day with Liberty Fields at the Barking Lot. Her coat was neglected and overgrown and matted, which happens when a dog with this kind of coat is not regularly groomed. We are so grateful to Libby and the Barking Lot for offering to spiff up our foster dogs!!!  LSAR.rescuegroups.org  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 12, 2026, 10:37 pm
