We're not exactly sure what he is, but Moose is a young, happy-go-lucky guy with the playful personality of a Boxer wrapped up in the body and silky, smooth coat of a Bernese Mountain Dog. What a combination! He's silly, goofy, and always ready to have a good time. Give him a yard, some toys, and a little playtime, and Moose is in his happy place! He loves hopping around, playing, and generally making everyone smile. Being young, Moose still has plenty of enthusiasm and puppy-like energy. He'd do best with savvy children who don't mind the occasional enthusiastic tumble or getting knocked over in the excitement of playtime. Have a resident dog? Moose would be happy to meet them and see if they might become playmates! Whether you're looking to add some fun to your family or searching for that one special four-legged best buddy, Moose could be your guy. He's got the looks, the personality, and a whole lot of love to give. Now all he needs is someone to share it with! Story
Meet Linus, a teenage pup who wants to put in his application to be your dog’s best friend.  Like his Charlie Brown namesake needs his security blanket, our Linus needs his security dog. He would be absolutely lost without another dog in the home, and so we are searching for a forever home with at least one other dog in it. But the more the merrier for Linus. Linus is incredibly enamored with other dogs and completely fearless with them, but he can be shy around new people. He enjoys being petted and likes to sit next to you, but he’s not a lap dog. He would always rather cuddle with his doggy friends.  Linus is well mannered and very smart. Any hint that a treat might be coming his way and he sits down before you even give the command. He loves going for his daily walk and is great on a leash. He is fully potty trained and crate trained. Linus is a mix of Bernese Mountain Dog, various terriers (Staffordshire and Pitbull) and retrievers (Golden and Labrador), as well as some poodle and a few other breeds, according to his breed test. The test predicted his full grown weight could be anywhere from 50 to 80 lbs., but we think he’ll be on the smaller end of that spectrum. He was approximately seven months old as of early October. Linus is a special boy, and we hope someone will give him a chance to blossom in their home. If you’ve ever thought that your dog needs a best friend, Linus would be the perfect companion. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Story
Jonah is a 4 year old Great Pyrenees looking for a very specific and committed forever home. He is a big, loving boy who needs an experienced adopter that understands guardian breeds and is willing to manage his quirks and advocate for his needs. Jonah requires a ranch style home with minimal stairs and a fully fenced yard. He needs easy, direct access to the outdoors without relying on walks for potty breaks. While he does enjoy playing with other dogs, a calm, easygoing Pyrenees or similar dog would be the best match, as his play style can be a bit much. He is reactive to other dogs while on leash but can coexist just fine with dogs in neutral environments like the groomer. True to his breed, Jonah has some guarding tendencies. He does not guard his food bowl, treats, or toys and allows handling while eating, but he will guard items he has stolen or discovered, especially anything he considers high value. Because of this, management and experience are key. Jonah cannot live with cats and has a very strong prey drive. If he were to catch something, he is unlikely to give it up. Jonah is stubborn on walks and can be unruly when excited to meet new people. He is submissive but lacks manners when overstimulated, so ongoing structure and consistency are important. He is not a fan of car rides and benefits from having another dog to help him feel confident getting in. Despite all of this, Jonah is an absolute love with his people. He is a huge snuggler, craves attention, and bonds deeply with those he trusts. He does well in a crate and settles nicely when given clear expectations. Jonah is not for a first time dog owner, but for the right experienced home willing to commit to him fully, he will be an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion. Bailey Robinson is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home!  Bailey is a special lady that will slowly and quietly work her way into your heart. Having spent most of her first year living outside with minimal human interaction she is slowly learning that being inside is pretty nice and humans can be too! She needs at least one other dog and a fenced yard. She extremely shy and skittish (flight risk at first), but will open once she builds trust and feels safe, but it will take time. Bailey loves to eat and once comfortable she is extremely food motivated, the quickest way to her heart is peanut butter and freeze dried liver. Once she trusts you she will come to you for pets and love.  She needs a very patient adopter willing to give her the time to adjust and trust, but it is well worth it. She is incredibly sweet. She will benefit from professional training to help her continue to make progress.  Teens and older only, busy kids are too much for her. She'd also prefer a quieter household with a consistent schedule and routine, too many visitors make her nervous.
